Adrian has spent more than 30 years of his career in sales and marketing.
A founder member of a number of technology companies and marketing/PR agencies he has helped them grow from a handful of staff to multi-million pound businesses.
Adrian started his career as an accountant working for Chrysler Finance and then 3M before moving into marketing and sales in the IT industry in 1981.
Adrian is currently Managing Director of a digital production studio.
He presents and lectures regularly on social media and Web 2.0 and has helped a number of organisations use these tools over the last few years to improve their internal and external communications. Clients have included the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the European Union, the European Food Information Council, AstraZeneca, Poundland, the Northern Ireland Government, the Cabinet Office, Sun, and the NHS and a number of local councils. He has also helped a number of PR and Marketing Agencies establish and develop their own Web 2.0/Social Media practices.
Adrian is a well established blogger, Twitterer and podcaster in his own right. He runs both public courses and in-house workshops on Web 2.0 and Social Media. The workshops are customised to suit each individual company and often includes ‘hands-on’ training in using social media tools as well as help preparing Employee Guidelines and Training Courses for use within an organisation.
The public course ‘Social Media for SMEs’ lasts 1.5 hours and is based upon Adrian’s deep understanding of this subject and his practical experience working on programs for clients. The course provides enough background information and practical advice as well as case study examples to ensure every attendee will be able to start to use them effectively.
