Why a Club?

hr_club_logo_90In our regular dealings with HR Professionals, our partner Darbys and ourselves have found that a consistent set of issues have been raised. These include:
- Keeping up with all the legislative changes
- Meeting fellow HR professionals to share experiences
- Where can we discuss specific issues facing our profession and business?

So the idea of the HR Club was born. Funded and supported by Darbys and ourselves it is actually your Club – not ours. You will help shape its future direction, the topics discussed and ensure that it meets your needs in the future.

Darbys and The Learning Ladder will help find you the subject matter experts you would most like to hear, learn about the legislative changes and developments that interest or concern you and provide the facilities and logistics to meet up regularly.

Who are Darbys and The Learning Ladder?

The Learning Ladder is a business training and mentoring organisation. We deliver tailored solutions in Management, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Health and Safety, IT, International Trade and Personal Development. We promote active accelerated training that truly “makes a difference”.

BLUE LAW is a free legal advice scheme for businesses. Darbys Solicitors is one of the country’s largest full service law firms. Darbys’ Employment team aims to give you clear yet flexible advice that is tailored to the unique needs of your organisation, as well as offering a dedicated HR training team, ‘My Personnel Trainer.’ Our specialist trainers are Sue Jackson and Victoria Marcham who are both qualified solicitors within the Employment team.”

Staying up to date…

In the current economic climate, the HR Club offers a free of charge solution to your need to keep up to date and to network. We meet quarterly for morning presentations and facilitated forums — you can receive all the legal updates and attend these events completely free of charge!

Why is it different?

The events are only open to HR Directors and Senior HR Management. The HR Club is the ideal place to keep up to date with the latest strategic thinking and hear first hand how your peers are tackling the same challenges you face, all with minimal time out of the office. There will be plenty of time made available for you to network in an informal, relaxed, environment.

Why join?

As an HR Professional you support others… but where do you get your support from? The Learning Ladder’s experience tells us there is a real need for such a facility… So we are delighted to create an innovative, highly valuable, open, collegiate environment that makes it possible for Club members to support each other, to discuss and address issues and concerns of common interest in a practical way.
We believe the HR Club will be valuable in both a practical sense for everyday issues but also in a strategic sense for ongoing Best Practice – but it will only work if we can gather members.

Now is a great time to join the network. With both time and budgets under pressure, being a member of the HR Club means that you will be kept up to date without too much time away from your desk….and it’s free!
